The Rings of Power (54)
I reviewed The Rings of Power as it came out in 2022. I'm unsure about watching season 2. It depends on how masochistic I'm feeling.
As a huge Lord of the Rings fan, watching The Rings of Power was like watching Jeff Bezos piss on Tolkien's grave. So many interesting and fascinating aspects of Tolkien's world were stripped away by this show with idiotic writing, boring characters, a messy plot, and some truly baffling decisions in storytelling. I disliked this show a lot, and if it weren't for the fun relationship between Elrond and Durin, this could easily have been one of the worst TV shows I have watched. But even with that, this certainly isn't a good show and it does a lot that infuriated me while watching it.
